Witnessed one of the most beautiful sights in the World last night. Ushered in the New Year with Nik and The Azkabans. We wrote our wishes on paper lanterns, lit them up and watched as they floated away into the night - like giant yellow bursts of light gently folding into tiny golden stars, peppering the inky sky. If you watched rapunzel, then you'll know what type of spectacular scene I'm referring to, albeit in real true blue life, but in a much smaller scale.
So many people to thank for 2010. Last year was the worst, and also the best year I've ever had. Too many occasions of anger and hurt, too many disappointing incidents, too many humiliating sequences. But things worked out AWESOME in the end. So I must say, I have thus added some credit to the old cliched term being 'there is always a rainbow after the rain'. (Ok, it is STILL a very stupid phrase. It is stating the bloody obvious, but you get the picture)
So, like how celebrities thank their contributors and loved ones after getting a trophy, I'm going to do so too.

Nik, who has been the best thing that has happened to my life thus far. I have much to thank you for. From introducing Bjork, The Chemical Brothers and every song possible by Radiohead, to Family Guy, The Office and Fresh Prince, to PSP games and kicking chickens in Fable, to Tuna and Cheese and the BEST scrambled eggs in the history of mankind, to Triforce, to living to the fullest and never giving up, to glorious late nights and Back To The Future, to Hope, to Faith, to Swearing all the time, to Kismet, to iPhone typos, to amazing presents and beautiful thoughts, to surprises and ikea meatballs, and to the most important thing you've ever done for me - existing and appearing at the very right moment. Oh, and also being the only person to eat an insane amount of double cheeseburgers with me. For all the time, money, blood, sweat, effort and thought you've put into me, I thank you and I love you b! Even without a Tiffany's, I will still and always be yours.
Tracy, for your time and effort in providing the best advice that has brought me to where I am now - happy, content and with a decent paycheck. For the meal at The Marmalade Pantry, the meal at your place, the meals everywhere, to saying I'm still cute when drunk (lol!) and always being so supportive and sweet. Thank you!
Rev, for your endless support and cupcake gorging, to always being there when I need help, for talking on the phone for hours while I eat my spicy thai noodles even when you're not a talk-on-the-phone type of gal. For surprising me at Whips with icecream and smiles and enduring my endless spammage of texts cause I keep forgetting you own a normal minion phone (hehe!) Also, for making me CONSTANTLY hungry with your pictures of delicious food, and enticing me with sudden random texts of what you had for breakfast. When we were friends in poly, I never thought we'd be THIS close, but wow, you're like a sister from another mother.
Andrea, Peipei, Farouk, Lina & Haikel, for being about the only bunch of people I feel completely at ease with even at my lowest. Even if I'm wearing beggar's clothes, I am absolutely certain you guys will let me into your houses (and then continue to dress me up, except for Haikel who won't care about dressing up) For the amazing birthday surprise, the awesome Universals trip and all the chilling at Anya's, thank you guys! And also for believing in me and supporting me no matter what. I love you all.
Verena, for hoisting me up and getting embarrassed while I, well, embarrassed you in the middle of zouk, for teaching me how to liven up and have some fun, for being there when I need a friend, for being there when I need to bitch, for bitching even when there is no need to and for forgiving when I haven't yet forgiven myself.
Eunice & Cheryl, what can I say? Famous 5 won't be Famous 5 without you two. One reality checker and One insanely happy person. For all the laughter you guys have induced when we were out for our 'weekly dinners', my one big ab thanks you. <3

Armanda & Dessy, although we hardly meet, I'm still so very amazed we can talk for hours and hours about everything and anything! It was awesome just talking with you and Regina that day. Also, the random movies in your home theatre. Hehe! Princess Armanda of Wales! And Dessy, you have to come back from indo! See you soon for your birthday celebration when Dessy's back!!
Brandon, for teaching me the trick to dehydrate yet retain the sweetness of strawberries, for lending me your God damn heavy but amazing cookbook, for inspiring me to learn more about baking and for teaching me the tricks to perfecting pasta cooking. Also, for the AMAZING bbq and delicious caramalised onion pasta. Ohmygod, who would have known such a simple condiment can produce a meal fit for a king.
Ah boy, Justin, Isaac, Shawn, Jeremy, Huifern, Daryl, Ziona, Siow, Sunesh, new found friendships which you know will last for a long long time is a joy and a thrill most people find only once in a while and with just a couple of people. To hang around with 'new people' and just chill is something I was very uncomfortable with in the past. I wasn't used to making new friends just like that. But after meeting you guys, I can't believe how comfortable I've become with ya'll. Sometimes it still amazes me. For encouraging me to sing, helping me get cheaper perfume, sharing pizza with me and including me is really something I am very thankful for. You guys are awesome. (:
Mark & Nat, for being concerned enough to be annoyed when I don't turn up at meetups, I am strangely very thankful for! I've met Mark already k Nat, when am I going to see you? But really, you guys will always be very special to me.
Nicholas Joshua Lee & Sarah Ismail, for all the fun times at Mediacorp, staying late with me, eating tong sandwiches, amazing spicy malay food and most importantly, being true friends. Also, for all the wise words and impeccable fashion sense! <3
